Is a community garden coming to Chattahoochee? – Main Street seeks input from community on garden project

Something new may be coming to Chattahoochee…but it depends on the feedback that Chattahoochee Main Street receives from members of the community.

In late February, the Main Street organization took to social media, asking members of the community to pitch in their thoughts and interest when it came to the concept of a community garden.

“Do you like working in the dirt? Marvel at seeing seeds come to life? Enjoy fresh vegetables and healthy eating?” asked Chattahoochee Main Street on Facebook.

This was to drum up potential interest in a community garden project that Main Street is eyeing for one of the twin cities.

If launched, Chattahoochee Main Street hinted that it might open pathways for people to learn more about gardening and potentially receive advice for the UF Extension Office’s Master Gardeners’ program.
