With the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Gadsden County more than doubling over the past week, local emergency officials report that they are fielding a rapidly increasing number of phone calls from concerned citizens, as well.
In response, Gadsden County Emergency Management is partnering with the sheriff’s office and Florida Department of Health Gadsden to set up a formal call center. Local residents can ask call center operators questions, voice concerns, learn about available resources, among other COVID-19-related queries and/or comments.
The new Gadsden County coronavirus call center will be manned from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Reach the call center by dialing (850) 743-6070.
