The Gingerbread Man is in Gadsden County for the holidays – Gadsden County Libraries host gingerbread-themed storybook play dates

The Gadsden County Public Library System is hosting a Gingerbread Man edition of its Storybook Play Dates this month, complete with games and crafts.

The activities are for children aged five and up.

Children use their imagination, pretending to bake tasty treats, and build a farm out of Legos, before rolling out Play-Doh to create their own Gingerbread Man, as Youth Services Librarian Kris Odahowski narrates the classic holiday tale.

For anyone who missed the play dates at the William McGill Library in Quincy and the Havana Library earlier this month, there’s still an opportunity to attend the Gingerbread Man story book play date at Cowen Library in Chattahoochee on Saturday, December 17 or Monday December 19 from 11 a.m. until noon on both days.

Older children may accompany their younger siblings.

Alternative older children’s activities will be provided.

To register your child for the gingerbread-themed playdate, call the Cowen Library at (850) 663-2707.
