Mother Elma Cummings, 93, of Quincy, Florida, peacefully departed this earthly life on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Born on Feb. 17, 1933, in Headland, Alabama, Mother Cummings lived a life marked by faith, service and devotion to family.

A faithful member and founding mother of Bear Creek Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Mother Cummings remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life. Family was at the center of her life, and she was known as a loving wife, devoted mother, caring grandmother and treasured friend.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 12, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Bradwell Mortuary in Quincy, Florida. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Quincy, Florida. Interment will follow at Sunnyvale Cemetery in Quincy, Florida.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted son, Henry Cummings Jr. (Maiyana), of Quincy, Florida; one brother, Auburn Ford Sr. (Luz), of Quincy, Florida; son-in-law William Singleton of Sarasota, Florida; sister-in-law Kristin C. Ford of Tucson, Arizona; godson Maurice Woods of Quincy, Florida; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.

Bradwell Mortuary, Quincy, Florida, is in charge of arrangements.
