The Havana Garden Club has selected its residential and commercial honorees for its latest Yard of the Month recognition.
The club’s Yard of the Month Committee selected the office of David Wesolowski, 306 Main St., for the commercial recognition.
According to the Garden Club, more Havana merchants have added colorful flower pots to their businesses this summer, giving the committee plenty to consider.
Wesolowski’s office features a small porch with rocking chairs and traditional window boxes filled with colorful flowers.
For the residential Yard of the Month, the committee selected the home of Chris and Lori McNally, 655 Dogwood Drive.
The McNallys’ large lot is carefully maintained and features several landscaped areas near the home. Pots of SunPatiens are accented by pentas planted in beds around the pots.
According to Lori McNally, her husband, Chris, designs and maintains the yard, while she helps with watering, a demanding task during the summer heat.
The Havana Garden Club’s Yard of the Month program recognizes local residents and businesses for their landscaping and efforts to beautify the community.
