Chattahoochee Thunder Nationals to roar back to River Landing Park

High-powered drag boats are set to return to the Apalachicola River this weekend as the Chattahoochee Thunder Nationals races back into town.

The two-day event is scheduled for June 6-7 at River Landing Park in Chattahoochee and will feature drag boat racing, food vendors and riverfront viewing opportunities. Admission is free.

Racing is expected to begin around noon, with spectators gathering along the river to watch some of the sport’s fastest boats compete at high speeds on the water.

The event is part of the Southern Outlaw Dragboat Association racing series, bringing competitors and racing fans to Chattahoochee from across the region.
