Havana Garden Club
The Havana Garden Club Yard of the Month committee has awarded the April commercial prize to Sister Chicks Sandwich Shop at 204 NW 1st Street. The shop is owned by Kayla Edenfield, and in addition to serving delicious soup and sandwiches, she has really put forth an effort to make the entrance to her restaurant attractive. She has pots of ferns by the front door and a colorful plant arrangement in an antique Coke cooler in front of her plate glass window.

As we rode by the new police station we saw Lieutenant Khang Bui who said it looked like we were having fun so we invited him to ride along with us. It was fun to have Lt. Bui riding along and he said he enjoyed the ride.
The residential award for April goes to Fannie Mills of 317 Gay Street. Mils, with the help of her brother, Walter Richardson, keeps a beautiful yard with a fountain and knockout roses. Her front porch is all dressed up for Easter with lovely baskets of pink and white petunias. Her home is definitely a standout in her neighborhood.
The committee would love to have referrals. To recommend a yard, just call 850-539-8191 and leave a message.
