The Havana Garden Club has announced its residential and commercial Yards of the Month for September.
Bud and Rosemary Branson, of 921 Magnolia Drive, received the residential Yard of the Month honor.
The Bransons recently moved back to Havana after living away from the area for several years. After purchasing an older home, the couple completely renovated the yard.
The property includes a landscaped back patio with a pergola, seating area, paved walkway and pond, creating an inviting outdoor space for guests.
Salem Methodist Church, 202 9th Ave. E., was selected as the commercial Yard of the Month.
The church has received the honor previously and was recognized this month for its colorful landscaping. Church member Bruce Hatton is responsible for the display, which features an assortment of colorful flowers surrounding the church sign.
