The Hope School Falcons pulled off the unthinkable this past week when they brought home their seventh gold medal from the Florida Special Olympics Basketball tournament in Tavares, Florida. The Saturday win comes as the necks of Falcon basketball players are still warm from being garnered the gold medal in last year’s tournament, as well. Both the varsity Falcons and Hope School’s junior varsity Thunderbirds brought home the gold last year. Hope School administration, the Jackson County School Board and district officials all expressed pride at the unprecedented gold medal number seven and extolled congratulations the players, cheerleaders, coaches, parents, fans and other individuals who helped make the win possible.
