Bear Creek Bethel Missionary Baptist Church is extending an open invitation to the entire Gadsden County community to attend its annual Family and Friends Day celebration on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 3 p.m.
The church, located at 3476 Old Federal Road in Quincy, will host this joyful day of worship and connection under the leadership of Rev. Terrence D. Milton, pastor. Family and Friends Day is a cherished tradition in many congregations — a time to strengthen bonds, welcome new connections, and renew faith together.
This year’s theme, “Knowing Him More. Serving Him Better.”, draws inspiration from Joshua 24:15 (KJV): “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” The message reminds believers that growing in faith naturally leads to serving God and others with renewed devotion and purpose.
The guest speaker will be Rev. Roosevelt Rogers, pastor of Old Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Havana, Florida. Known for his passionate ministry and community outreach, Pastor Rogers often emphasizes the connection between faith and health.
“One of the greatest challenges we face is changing attitudes toward healthy living,” he said. “By working together — spiritually and locally — we can improve the well-being of our communities.”
The event also supports The Creek’s ongoing fundraising campaign to build a new fellowship hall, envisioned as a space for worship, education, and community gatherings. Pastor Milton encourages everyone — families, friends, and neighbors — to be part of this uplifting day of praise, purpose, and progress.
