More than 100 runners, walkers, and families laced up their sneakers and hit the riverfront trails for the 2025 River Runaround 5K and Fun Run, hosted by Chattahoochee Main Street on Saturday, May 17 at River Landing Park.
The annual event brought participants from across the region to enjoy a scenic morning along the banks of the Apalachicola River, with views of the Jim Woodruff Dam framing the 5K course. The Fun Run offered a more relaxed pace for families and runners of all ages, while spectators cheered from the sidelines.
“We were thrilled with the turnout and the incredible energy from everyone who came out to participate,” said Gena McDaniel, president of Chattahoochee Main Street. “The River Runaround is a great way to highlight our city’s natural beauty and bring visitors to our city to boost the local economy.”

- 3rd Place – Hillary Powell

- 1st Place – Duane Evans
- 2nd Place – Richard Reesor
- 3rd Place – Ian Bryner
