The Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners recently celebrated the completion of its 2026 Summer Youth Employment Program with an end-of-program celebration held at Havana Magnet School.
According to the county, the program gave participating youth the opportunity to gain workplace experience, develop new skills and build professional connections while working alongside departments across Gadsden County.
County officials said the celebration recognized the students’ hard work, achievements and personal growth throughout the summer. The event also included activities focused on fun, fellowship and friendly competition.
The Board of County Commissioners thanked county employees, department leaders, volunteers and community partners who helped make both the employment program and the end-of-program celebration possible.
Officials said the county remains committed to investing in young people by providing opportunities that prepare them for future careers and leadership roles.
The Summer Youth Employment Program is designed to give participants practical work experience while exposing them to careers in local government and helping them develop skills that can be applied in future education and employment opportunities.
