2025 Sunbelt Ag Expo is this month
There are some amazing events that happen in the month of October, and this is definitely one of them! The Sunbelt Ag Expo will be held in Moultrie, Ga. on October 14-16, 2025. They have over 4,000 different companies and exhibitors there showcasing what they sell or do to support the agricultural community. Over these three days, there are shows, workshops, demonstrations, and giveaways. This is an amazing event that you don’t want to miss out on even if you’re not in the agricultural industry.
On Wednesday, October 15 the Sunbelt Ag Expo has Future Famers of America and 4-H Day to help educate and support youth. This is a great opportunity for parents, teachers, FFA advisors, or 4-H agents to take youth to see just how many jobs and resources there are in the agricultural industry. As a 4-H agent, this will be my fourth year taking youth to Sunbelt. I continue to take youth to this event because I have seen the impact that it has had on the youth that I have had go with me the last three years. I make sure to encourage them to ask the exhibitors questions about what they do and what their company does. This gives youth confidence and communication skills while also educating them about how many jobs there are out there that are involved in agriculture. If they are interested in one day working for a company, I always suggest for them to introduce themselves to the exhibitor and ask for a business card.
We discuss what they have learned so far and what was the most fascinating thing so far. Last year they were intrigued by the virtual welding stimulator trailer where they got to play a video game that was teaching them how to weld. At the next club meeting they have, each youth that attended stands up and says their favorite thing about the Expo to the rest of the club. This always gets more youth interested and wanting to go the next year.
