Kristopher Karl “Kris” Huber

Kristopher Karl Huber passed on July 15, 2025, following a lengthy illness from frontotemporal dementia. He died in Dowling Park, FL at the Good Samaritan Center, he was 66 years old.
He was born on November 14, 1958 in Miami, Florida, the second son of Wilmer F. Huber, Jr. and Christa Beierling Huber.
Kris is preceded in death by his father Wilmer “Bill” F. Huber, Jr.
Surviving family members include: his mother Christa, brother Wilmer “Bill” F. Huber, III and his wife Jean, brother Roy M. Huber and his wife Mary, and many nieces and grand nephews.
He graduated from Miami’s Palmetto High School in 1976. While there he competed on the school’s swimming team. Following graduation he attended Miami Dade Community College.
Kris was a craftsman in design and detail. As owner/operator of Mica Designs of Miami he and his employees created beautiful cabinetry and furniture.
He married Shirley Ann Deutch in 1988, and they divorced in 2005, but always remained close friends. Later, he was engaged to Blanca Balseiro, however their engagement ended when he moved to his mother’s home in Havana, FL in 2020, where he felt his purpose in life then was to take care of his mom.
Kris was a “car guy,” he appreciated seeing old classic cars.  He also enjoyed scuba diving with family and friends.
Kris had a compassionate heart and helped others in need. He will be missed.
Family and friends gathered at the Church at Tallavana on July 27, 2025 at 2 p.m. to celebrate Kris’ life. It is requested that donations in Kris’ memory be given to Christ Town Ministries at 2121 W. Jefferson St. Quincy, FL 32351.
