Uraina’s Haven, an event planning company, recently lent a helping hand to Ballers Elite, a local
travel basketball team in Quincy.
The team secured their entry into the prestigious Miami KB Sports Balling on the Beach tournament, held from June 19-21, thanks to the support and sponsorship from Uraina’s Haven.
Before participating in the tournament, the Ballers Elite players arrived early to assist Uraina’s Haven in setting up for a major event.
Denisha Keaton, owner of Uraina’s Haven, said this hands-on experience provided the young athletes with valuable lessons in entrepreneurship and the importance of teamwork.
The Uraina’s Haven team also took some time to highlight the various pathways available through sports, including college opportunities, exposure to travel, and new cultures.
Keaton shared her enthusiasm about the partnership.
“Supporting Ballers Elite not only allowed us to give back to the community but also to mentor
these talented young athletes,” Keaton said. “It was rewarding to see them gain insights into the business
world and understand the broader impact of sports beyond the court.”
The Miami KB Sports tournament offered the players a chance to showcase their skills, gain exposure, and compete at a high level.
