A new monthly vintage market appears to be gaining momentum in downtown Havana.

The Out of the Attic Vintage Market, held Saturday at the Havana History and Heritage Museum, attracted more than 120 visitors by noon, according to information provided by museum representatives.

The market is held on the second Saturday of each month at the museum pavilion and grounds. Vendors offer vintage merchandise, repurposed finds, jewelry, clothing, architectural salvage, handcrafted items and other collectibles.

The event is designed to bring visitors to downtown Havana while providing a venue for antique and vintage vendors. Shoppers attending Saturday’s market also had an opportunity to visit local businesses throughout downtown.

A social media post from Havana Main Street encouraged residents and visitors to explore downtown shops while attending the market, describing the event as part of a day of activity in the historic district.

Organizers Denis and Mikal of Planters Exchange Antiques are coordinating the market. Additional details about vendor participation and future plans were not immediately available.

The Out of the Attic Vintage Market is scheduled to continue on the second Saturday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Havana History and Heritage Museum.
