Head Basketball Coach Tyler Wilson and his varsity Pirates team are on a 6-game winning streak that is heating up the hoops with ballin’ scores. Last Friday night the Sneads boys team traveled to Cottondale and conquered the Hornets 54-50 bringing home a great win. On Dec. 7 they traveled to Graceville bringing home another win of 53-46.
The Ponce De Leon Pirates were out bested 59-38 by the Sneads Pirates and traveled back home with their second loss of the season. The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks could not take claim of the Pirates basketball court on Dec. 1 because Sneads scooped up the win of 69-55. The Pirates very first game of the season on November 30 was the beginning of an amazing start this year. The team will be hosting a home game against the Blountstown Wildcats who will be traveling from Bonifay on December 15.
The Sneads Varsity Lady Pirates brought home a huge win of 46-13 over the Cottondale Hornets last Friday breaking a three-game losing streak. They started out the season strong with a win of 47-12 against the Altha Wildcats but lost to the Bozeman Bucks, Maclay Marauders, and the Liberty County Bulldogs. The Lady Pirates are scheduled for several away games, but have a home game coming up on December 19, when they will host the Bethlehem Wildcats from Bonifay.
