Student speaks at Florida Missing Children’s ceremony

West Gadsden Middle School fifth-grader Denim Rhames won a statewide speech contest recently for fifth-graders in recognition of Florida Missing Children’s Day (September 10).

Rhames’ speech was titled, “This Is How I Stay Safe All Day.”

The annual event is held to remember Florida’s missing children, to recognize the state’s efforts in child protection and to educate Floridians on child safety and abduction prevention.
