Chattahoochee city clerk to retire

At the last Chattahoochee City Council meeting outgoing City Manager Lee Garner told the council City Clerk Marinda Wilson had announced she was retiring October 1  and that her last working day will be September 30.

Garner said Wilson had said health concerns had led her to decide it was time to retire.

Deputy City Clerk Wendy Doyal was appointed Interim City Clerk, with her appointment subject to review by the incoming city manager, once one is appointed.

Garner thanked Wilson for her 21 plus years of dedicated service to the city and said she had done a great job.

Several members of council agreed, including Mayor Christopher Moultry, who expressed his gratitude for Wilson’s hard work on behalf of the city and wished her well.
