Chattahoochee Woman’s Club yard sale fundraises for community projects

The yearly projects undertaken by the ladies of the Chattahoochee Woman’s Club recently got a little fundraising boost with the annual yard sale, hosted by the members at the woman’s club building on Morgan Avenue.

A selection of antiques, toys, clothing, books, tools, games, furniture, appliances, and more were sold at the sale.

The funds from the indoor yard sale, in turn, will go towards funding the service projects that the Chattahoochee Woman’s Club hosts in an endeavor to serve the local elderly population, support local schools, keep local food banks stocked, and to pay the club’s own bills.

The yard sale began on Friday, April 14, and continued through until 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 15; it was held at the woman’s club building at 534 Morgan Avenue, in Chattahoochee.

The next event hosted by the Chattahoochee Woman’s Club will be a “Newsworthy” fashion show and tea at the club’s building.

The fashion show will involve member-made fashions created out of newspaper print. The show and tea will take place on Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. – noon. Tickets for the event are $20 for adults, or $10 for children.

Those interested in creating their own newspaper-fashion, or being a model for the show, are invited to contact Linda Kranert at (850) 566-9567.

Tickets can also be purchased from Kranert, or any other woman’s club member.
