Christmas parades to roll through Chattahoochee and Sneads

Put on your santa hats, grab a lawn chair, and head downtown – two Christmas parades are coming to the Twin-City area!

This weekend, on Saturday, December 4, the City of Chattahoochee will be sponsoring a downtown parade.

Starting at 5 p.m., the parade will roll through downtown’s stretch, so be sure to get your spot early on Saturday afternoon on the Washington Street sidewalk.

Concurrent to the parade, Chattahoochee Main Street will be hosting the Christmas At Main Street pop-up shop.

Stop into the main street office, located at 316 West Washington Street, to browse the local artisans and crafters who are selling their wares.

The pop-up shop will start at 3 p.m., and last until 8 p.m.

The following weekend, the Town of Sneads will be hosting their Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 11.

The parade theme for this year will be “All is Bright.”

The parade will roll through town at 4 p.m. central time/5 p.m. eastern time; the route for the parade will start on Church Street (the road behind the high school), extending east.

From there, the parade will turn north on Green Avenue, and then east on Highway 90 where it will continue until turning north again, this time on North Legion Road.

The parade will end at the Sneads Ball Park.

After the parade, Sneads residents and visitors are invited to stop into Sneads City Hall, where town staff will host a tree lighting ceremony, complete with music, food, and a visit with Santa.
