Greensboro youth wash cars to raise money for faith-based trips

On Saturday, July 15, youth attendees of the Greensboro First Baptist Church rolled out the water hose and brought out the suds for a fundraising car wash on church grounds.

From 8 a.m. until the afternoon, the teens scrubbed everything from bumpers to hoods as they took donations for 2024 faith-based trips.

The funds generated from the car wash will go towards helping the teens travel to Rock The

Universe, Florida’s biggest Christian music festival at Universal Studios in Orlando in January, and then to Mission Camp later in the year.

The Greensboro teens will hold another fundraiser in August – a spaghetti lunch that will be held after Sunday services on August 13, at around noon.

While not a fundraiser, the teens will also be involved in the church’s annual Back To School

Bash on Saturday, August 5.

The bash is a community-focused event that provides free summer fun to local kids, as well as a distribution of school supplies.

The Back To School Bash will take place from 4-8 p.m.

Both events will be held on church grounds, located at 101 Gadsden Avenue, in Greensboro.

Those interested in supporting the youth group’s planned trips can contact the Greensboro First Baptist Church’s pastor at (407) 401-4301 to inquire about making a donation to the youth group.
