Here’s how you can help Middle Tennessee tornado victims

Middle Tennessee communities are still recovering from a deadly tornado outbreak on Saturday, Dec. 9 and the need for donations and volunteers is stronger than ever.

Six people were confirmed dead Saturday night in Clarksville and Madison, and more than 80 were treated at hospitals, according to local officials. The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency confirmed a preliminary reporting of 13 tornadoes across the state.

If you would like to donate items to help in the recovery, they can be dropped off at Off The Rails Irish Pub, located at 306 1st Street NW in Havana by Wednesday, Dec. 20.

The items that are needed are non-perishable (ready-to-eat) food, Gatorade and other sports drinks, sunblock, feminine products, baby wipes, diapers, storage bins, cleaning supplies, paper products, portable lights, blankets, flashlights, batteries, large tarps, totes with lids, toilet paper, tissues, paper plates and plastic cutlery.
