Jags hold Gateway High Panthers scoreless

Last Friday night, Gadsden County High School traveled down to central Florida to face Gateway High School. Coming off a comfortable win the previous week at rival Godby High School, the Jags still had something to prove to the Panthers of Gateway High.

The Jags dominated in all aspects of the game Friday night, holding the Panthers scoreless all night. Plenty Jags got in on the highlights throughout the night.

Quarterback Landon Dougherty finished the game throwing for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rayquavious Lewis rushed 11 times for 108 yards and a touchdown, while Jyron Peterson added 7 carries for 45 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kemarion Gadsen a 25-yard TD catch along with 3 carries for 30 yards and a rushing TD.

Daylen Green went long and scored on a 37-yard TD reception.

Points came from everywhere as the Gadsden County High Jaguars shutout the Gateway High Panthers 49-0. The Jags finish the regular season 6-4 as they prepare to take the road again this week for a first round 2S Region 1 matchup to Wakulla High School in Crawfordville.

Stadium is set for 7 p.m. this Friday, No. 10, 2023.

Coach Russell Ellington asks that Jaguar fans come out and pack the War Eagle stadium.
