Local athlete to host football camp in Sneads – The camp is free for children ages 6-12.

Hometown celebrity athlete and former Sneads Pirate Jason Patterson also known as JP5 will be hosting a football camp for ages 6-12 years old. Patterson just got back from a national college football tour and has been intent on learning as much as he can before he makes his final choice of school.

He has been asked to join football teams from 23 Division 1 colleges and is expected to receive more offers during his upcoming senior year.

It is his intention to enjoy every minute he can in his hometown community before he commits, packs up, and heads out of town to pursue a college football career while acquiring a degree in sports management..

The camp is scheduled for July 15 and will be held at the Sneads football field.

Patterson explained it is “a free camp for kids ages 6-12 to learn the fundamentals of football. 

Children will have the opportunity to do drills and compete.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m and camp activities will be from 9 a.m. to 12p.m. Central Standard Time.

Participants need to bring their own water and snacks with them.

Donations of items such as bottles of spring water, Gatorade, and snacks will be greatly appreciated and accepted for the event.

Any items left over from the camp will be used for the Sneads Football Team.
