Pirates Win 1st FHSAA Championship Playoff Round against Cottondale

The Sneads Pirates football team have successfully secured a second playoff game this week against the Blountstown Tigers. The waves were not easy to row across but after several consecutive losses the coaches and athletes came together and fought hard to get back on the right track. If they beat the Blountstown Tigers this week, it looks like they will be set to face off with either the Aucilla Christian Academy Warriors or Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks. The outcome of that playoff will depend upon which team wins the Warriors vs. Tiger Sharks game happening this week.

Sneads has a 6-4 overall standing, Port St. Joe has a 6-4 overall standing, and Aucilla has 9-1 overall standing. Who will win the FHSAA Championship title this year? It all comes down to a battle of which team ultimately wants the win badly enough!

Last week’s game—The atmosphere was bittersweet at last Friday night’s playoff game as the Sneads seniors suited up and played what was possibly their last home game guarding the shipyard. Remember their names, Brayden Stalvey, Jason Patterson, Gabe Jones, Kurdiss Baker, Aven Tyus, Jaden Brady, Jaydan Walker, Colby Carlson, Walker Eubanks, Aaron Williams, Charles Mosley, Ga’Cere Williams, Treven Pruett, Jaden McCall, Jamon Street as they suit up again this week for another playoff chance to try to snag a championship trophy for the books/

This week the Pirates will be traveling to Blountstown for their second shot to get to the final FHSAA State Championship game, will you be there?
