Quincy bank robbed, suspect arrested

A man is in jail after being accused of robbing a Quincy bank.

On Friday, June 9, 2023, Quincy police officers responded to a robbery at Envision Credit Union, located on 517 W. Jefferson Street.

Quincy Police Department issued a press release with the following information:

Upon arrival, responding officers were advised that the suspect, who was later identified as 27-year-old Antonio Pride, had already fled on foot.

Officers canvassed the immediate area and made contact with multiple citizens, who were able to provide valuable information to officers on the ground.

Pride was traced back to a home located on South Key Street, where officers observed him and engaged in a foot pursuit.

Investigators with Quincy Police Department and Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Delwyn Hall were able to capture Pride on Stewart Street and place him under arrest.

Pride sustained a large laceration on his left calf, which required treatment. He was transported to a local emergency room for medical treatment.

Evidence was collected at the scene of the arrest, the home located on South Key Street and at Envision Credit Union.

Pride is charged with strong arm robbery, resisting arrest without violence, petit theft, possession of a concealed weapon by a convicted felon.

The suspect was released from the Florida Department of Corrections on Aug. 20 after serving five years for a previous robbery conviction.
