Search continues for missing Quincy man

A Quincy man has been missing for nearly a week.

Ronnie Jordan, 64, was reportedly last seen on Thursday, March 23.

On Sunday, March 26 Jordan’s family and friends organized a search party at the Sawdust Park on Providence Road in Quincy.

On Tuesday, March 28 the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office organized a command post at the Sawdust Park to continue the extended search for Jordan who has not been seen or heard from by family or friends since March 23.

Jordan is a black male, approximately 6-feet-tall and weighs 180-190 pounds.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and black slide shoes.

Sheriff Young said that though time has been lost, due to the late reporting, there is still hope and as a “community of one” the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office will use all available resources to support  an effort to locate Jordan.

The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division’s Drone Unit and the ATVs were brought out for the extensive search but due to inclement weather the drone had to be brought down until later.

The search efforts have grown with volunteers coming out to help.

The search party is checking wood lines, ditches and old abandoned structures.

The sheriff’s office asks that if anyone has any information about the whereabouts of Ronnie Jordan to please call the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 627-9233.
