Soul Santa makes a stop in Midway

Soul Santa made his way through Midway on Sunday evening.

The city’s annual Soul Santa Parade began at 5 p.m. on December 18 at Ochlockonee Point

Apartments and then traveled to East Brickyard Road, Hilltop Drive, Forest Drive, Palmer Road,

and Rustling Pines Boulevard, before making a final stop at the Eugene Lamb Recreation Center.

Riding on one of the city’s fire trucks, Soul Santa waved and tossed candy to children standing alongside the road as he made his way through the streets of Midway.

Once he arrived at the community center, children and their families met him there.

The children gave him and Mrs. Claus hugs and shared their Christmas wish lists with him, before smiling for photographs with the couple.
