Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

This year’s Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day was on Thursday, April 27.

Also termed Take Your Child to Work Day, it is a national day that gives children in the United States a glimpse into the working world.

Created in New York City in 1992, the day was initially just for girls and was called Take Our Daughters to Work Day.

The effect of the day was so explosive it was expanded in 2003 to include boys.

Children from all areas of Gadsden and Jackson Counties participated, gaining valuable experience at local businesses.
