“…the pipes, the pipes are calling…”

At Sneads High School’s football game October 25, the Sneads High School Marching Band performed a musical tribute to beloved former principal John Shouse, who was killed recently in a tragic accident. Raymond Walton, the school’s band director, performed “O Danny Boy” as part of the homage. “It’s a retrospective tune for me, and I felt like it’s an easy song to express sadness, Walton said.” Shouse, who retired a few years back, passed away October 21 while removing tree debris from Hurricane Michael’s aftermath. Walton said he remembers Shouse as a “devoted administrative leader and mentor.”
