Scorpions Basketball puts the on Tigers – Geared up for the season, Crossroad Academy wins 69-19.

The Crossroad Academy Scorpions Boys Basketball Team traveled to Jefferson County last Saturday to face off with the Tigers and show them what the sport was all about. The Scorpions held a strong lead throughout the entire game while the Tigers struggled just to land points.

With a 4-3 overall standing the Scorpions are starting out with a fairly good season. They hold a 56-39 win over the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University Developmental Research School Rattlers, a 65-55 win over the Maclay Marauders, and a 69-62 win over the St. John Paul II Panthers. They played some tough games against the Rickards Raiders, Marianna Bulldogs, and the Munroe Bobcats, but just could bring in the wins on those. They will have another opportunity to play against the Bulldogs and Bobcats later in the season, but the Panthers are not listed on their schedule again.

The Varsity Lady Scorpions Basketball Team are only three games into their season with all three being losses. On November 25th they only lost by one point against the FAMU DRS Rattlers and on December 2nd they only lost by three points to the Maclay Marauders. Those were very close games proving the Lady Scorpions are playing good and just might have a better season as they start to get warmed up. Those Marianna Bulldogs did take a strong win of 40-26, but the Scorpions will be playing against the Godby Cougars, Florida State University High School Seminoles, and the Bozeman Bucks soon in hopes of accumulating some great wins.
