Scorpions bring home FHSAA district win over warriors – Crossroad Academy takes over Aucilla Christian Academy and Franklin County in playoffs

On February 8, the Crossroad Academy Varsity Boys Basketball Team traveled to Jefferson County, Florida and put the sting on the Aucilla Christian Warriors with a dominant final score of 74-27. Thursday night’s basketball standoff was a FHSAA District 1-A Tournament, and the Scorpions were in it to win it with no doubts. The Aucilla Warriors were no skill match and did not have a chance against the Crossroad Academy Scorpion team. The game proved to be a challenge for the Warriors who struggled and were unable to score the points needed to keep up. While the Warriors took home a defeat the Scorpions advanced on to another tournament game against the Franklin County Seahawks.

On February 10, the Scorpions were hungry to be top champions and moved on to their second FHSAA District Tournament game against the Franklin County Seahawks devouring another basketball victory of 55-50. The team will be advancing to a 3 district playoff game against the Sneads Pirates scheduled for this
week.

The Crossroad Academy Lady Scorpions are holding their own spotlight in the FHSAA District Tournament playoffs and will be advancing forward as well! On February 9 the ladies traveled to Jefferson County, Florida and proved they too could send the Aucilla Christian Warriors home with a defeat! The Scorpion team brought back a playoff victory of 39-30. The achievement pushes the team through to another playoff game scheduled for this week against the Graceville Tigers.
