Sneads Basketball Win Over Houston County, Alabama

The Sneads boys’ varsity basketball team were off to a great start at the beginning of the season, but recently suffered four game losses in a row.

On December 21, they lost to the Altha Wildcats 53-43, on December 28 they lost to the Kinston Bulldogs 46-30, then the Gadsden County Jaguars 43-34 on December 29, and the Malone Tigers 72-43 on January 4.

On January 6, the Pirates traveled to Houston County, Alabama to play against the Lions and broke that losing streak by proudly bringing home a winning score of 60-43, the first win in a streak of losses.

Unfortunately, the team reeled in another loss on Friday, January 7 when they played against the Blountstown Tigers, with a game ending 50-42 against the Pirates.

The score shows they tried hard to bring in a win, but lost with a difference of eight points.

Sneads is scheduled to play two more home games – one against the Wewahitchka Gators on January 18 and the other on January 20 against the Tallavana Christian Lions.

The Wewahitchka Gators have lost all eight games played this season, and the Tallavana Christian Lions have lost the only two games they have played so far.

The Pirates stand a good chance of winning the next two games and then they will be traveling for three more away games against the Malone Tigers, Chipley Tigers, and the Tallavana Christian Lions in the upcoming weeks.
